The NIH SPARC program will hold a Q&A Webinar on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 4:00pm ET for potential applicants to answer questions about the SPARC VESPA initiative (RFA-RM-22-002).
About this event
The NIH SPARC program will hold a Q&A Webinar for potential applicants to answer questions about the VNS Endpoints from Standardized Parameters (VESPA) funding opportunity and the application process for RFA-RM-22-002. Attendees are strongly encouraged to review the funding announcement prior to attendance. The ONLY application receipt date for this funding opportunity is April 1, 2022.
The purpose of this initiative (RFA-RM-22-002) is to solicit applications for a U54 Research Center (VESPA Center) to conduct a large multisite clinical study of the multi-organ effects of vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) in response to a standardized range of VNS parameters in humans. These data will be shared publicly and inform the optimization of VNS treatment by providing the broad functional impact on systems physiology and elucidate the functional connectivity of the human vagus nerve.
