About the Seminar, a note from Vaughan
In my seminar, I'll be talking about the vagus nerve and what we can learn by recording from it in humans. While we know a great deal about this nerve’s function in experimental animals, it’s only recently that we've been able to explore its physiology in humans using microelectrodes inserted directly into the nerve in the neck. I’ll discuss the general methodology and how it can be applied to better understand both normal and disturbed physiology.
